In Kobe Japan, teh Las Piedras, and another Gulf vessel, teh Margarita, were "jumboized" a process were they take off the old tank, or bow, section and replace it with a larger, new section.  Typically, the old sections are scrapped.  The Margarita and Las Piedras tank sections were saved, and combined, to make the vessel "The 386,001".
